COCOO is a Kyoto-based lifestyle brand that brings traditional urushi (Japanese lacquer) into modern daily life, guided by a “Less is More” philosophy.
We’re looking for a warm, hands-on team member to support us with English communication, guest interaction, and craft-making tasks—such as helping with workshops, shipping, and studio work.
As a small, close-knit team, we value involvement over fixed roles.
Position:
Brand & Craft Support Staff (Part-time / Internship)
Main Tasks May Include:
・Assisting with product crafting and light processing tasks in the urushi studio
・Supporting shipping, packaging, and order management
・Helping with in-person workshops, events, and store operations (including communication with international visitors)
・Assisting with content creation, social media posts, and basic promotional tasks
・Providing English-language support across internal and external communication
Who We’re Looking For:
・Someone who is open-minded, adaptable, and can follow directions with care
・Enjoys trying new things and working with their hands
・Detail-oriented and enjoys thoughtful, manual tasks
・Resonates with COCOO’s aesthetic and values
・Comfortable engaging with both Japanese and international guests
・Flexible and excited to work in a creative, evolving environment
Helpful Skills & Experience (not required):
・Customer service or retail experience (especially with international guests)
・Familiarity with social media or basic EC operations
・Interest in photography or simple image editing
Working Conditions:
・Type: Part-time / Internship
・Pay:
- Learning Period (approx. 15 hours): ¥1,100/hour
- After Learning Period: from ¥1,300/hour (based on skill and responsibilities)
・Working Hours: From 1 day/week, minimum 3 hours/day (flexible)
・Location: COCOKIYO URUSHI LABO
